Your statutory rights
GOLDEEGA stands behind the condition and description of the jewelry it sells. If an item is defective, unsafe, damaged on arrival, misdescribed or not of merchantable quality, contact us with proof of purchase. We will assess the item and provide appropriate redress, which may include a refund, replacement, repair or credit note.
Manufacturer warranty where stated
Certain products may include a 3-month manufacturer’s warranty for defective parts under normal wear and related repair labour. This supplier warranty is administered in the United States and applies only where it is expressly stated for the product or confirmed by GOLDEEGA. It does not replace or reduce any non-excludable rights you have against GOLDEEGA.
What a product assessment considers
We may request photographs, packaging, certificates, order information and return of the item. Assessment considers the product description, materials disclosed on the product page, the condition at delivery, normal expected wear, care history and any signs of accidental damage or unauthorized work.
What is generally not a manufacturing defect
- Normal scratches, tarnish, patina or gradual finish changes from ordinary wear.
- Wear to plating or vermeil caused by friction, chemicals, moisture, perspiration or storage.
- Damage from impact, bending, snagging, crushing, misuse or improper cleaning.
- Loss of stones or components after impact or where recommended inspections were not performed.
- Work performed by a jeweler or repair service not authorized by GOLDEEGA.
- Differences in natural stones, pearls, texture, colour or pattern that are disclosed or inherent to the material.
These examples do not remove your rights where the item was defective, misdescribed or not of merchantable quality when supplied.
Everyday jewelry care
- Review the product page first because materials and finishes vary by piece.
- Remove jewelry before bathing, swimming, exercise, sleep and household work.
- Avoid perfume, hairspray, lotion, sanitizer, chlorine, salt water and harsh cleaners.
- Put jewelry on last and remove it first.
- Wipe gently with a clean, soft, dry cloth after wear.
- Store pieces separately in a dry pouch or lined box to reduce scratching and tangling.
- Do not use ultrasonic or steam cleaning unless a qualified jeweler confirms it is safe for the exact materials and setting.
Repairs and alterations
Contact us at support@goldeega.com before arranging repair, resizing, engraving or alteration. Unauthorized work can make it difficult to determine the original condition or cause of damage and may void an applicable manufacturer warranty. We will tell you whether assessment, repair or replacement support is available for your order.
